Sermon Podcast

Washington City Church of the Brethren

A congregation on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Seeking justice, wholeness, and community through the gospel of Jesus.

This podcast features sermons from Washington City Church of the Brethren in Washington, D.C. Our sermons are based in Scripture and consider how we might live as Christ-followers in our world today. Because of the teachings of Jesus, we seek to be peacemakers in a violent world, to care for God’s creation, to live simply, and to work for justice.

Hallelujah, Jesus is risen! A few of us gathered at Anacostia Park for an Easter Sunrise Service. We sang and prayed together as the sun peaked through the cool clouds. What an amazing start to the day. Happy Easter, everyone!
All in the DC area are welcome to join us Easter Sunday morning for a socially-distanced Sunrise Service. We are meeting at Anacostia Park at 6:20am to welcome the sun and celebrate the miracle of Jesus coming back to life.
All are welcome to join us this Maundy Thursday as we gather for a short service of Love Feast. Please bring whatever bread and drink you have for communion. To see the Zoom link info, go to washingtoncitycob.org/events or you can message us directly. We hope to see you there!
